【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforthedeterminationofthearcratingofaproduct/design,intendedforuseasfaceprotectionforworkersexposedtoelectricarcs.5.1.1Becauseofthevariabilityofthearcexposure,differentheattransmissionvaluesmaybeobservedatindividualsensors.TheresultsofeachsensorareevaluatedinaccordancewithSection12.Thistestmethodmaintainsthespecimeninastatic,verticalpositionanddoesnotinvolvemovementexceptthatresultingfromtheexposure.Thistestmethodspecifiesastandardsetofexposureconditions.Differentexposureconditionsmayproducedifferentresults.Thisspecificationcoverstheminimumperformancecriteriaforarcresistanceandotherrequirementsforfaceprotectiveproductsusedbyworkerswhomaybeexposedtothermalhazardsofmomentaryelectricarcsorflame.Thepurchaserhastheoptiontoperformorhaveperformedanyofthesetestsinordertoverifytheperformanceofthefaceprotectiveproduct.Claimsforfailuretomeetthespecificationaresubjecttoverificationbythemanufacturer.Note18212;Inadditiontothestandardsetofexposureconditions,otherconditionsrepresentativeoftheexpectedhazardmaybeusedandshallbereportedshouldthisdatabecited.1.1Thistestmethodandproductspecificationisusedtomeasurethearcratingandspecifytherequirementsforproductsintendedforuseasfaceprotectionforworkersexposedtoelectricarcsthatwouldgenerateheatfluxvaluesfrom84to25120kW/m2[2to600cal/cm2s].Productsaretestedassold.1.2Thistestmethoddeterminesanarcratingforfaceprotectiveproducts.ThefaceshieldorotherapplicableportionsofthecompleteproductmustmeetANSIZ87.1.ThisexcludesthetextileornonANSIZ87.1testablepartsofthehoodassembliesorothertestedproducts.Thisstandarddoesnotmeasureopticalandimpactproperties(seeANSIZ87.1)butdoesspecifyrequirementsforopticalandimpactproperties.1.3Thematerialscoveredbythisstandardareintheformoffaceshieldsattachedtotheheadbyprotectivehelmets(hardhats),headgear,orhoodassemblies.Faceshieldsaretestedwithorwithoutotherfaceandheadprotectiveproducts,forexample,sockhoods,balaclavas,sweatshirthoodsorjackethoods.1.3.1FabriclayersusedinhoodassembliesorotheritemstestedunderthisstandardshallmeettherequirementsofSpecificationF1506.1.4Thistestmethodshallbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoconvectiveandradiantenergygeneratedbyanelectricarcundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsanddoesnotpurporttopredictdamagefromlightotherthanthethermalaspectsmeasured.1.5UnitsThevaluesstatedinSIunitsshallberegardedasstandardexceptasnoted.Withinthetext,alternateunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,alternatesystemsmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthesystemsdescribedinthetextmayresultinnonconformancewiththemethod.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttodescribeorappraisetheeffectoftheelectricarcfragmentationexplosionandsubsequentmoltenmetalsplatter,whichinvolvesthepressurewavecontainingmoltenmetalsandpossiblefragmentsofothermaterialsexcepttotheextentthatheatenergytransmissionduetothesearcexplosionphenomenaisreducedbytestspecimens.1.8Thisstandardshallnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireas......
